I'm A Cyborg But That Is Okay

Young-Goon is convinced of being a Cyborg. She is having batteries for breakfast and giving herself some impulses once in a while. Her favoured conversational partners are lamps, vending machines and other electrical devises with whom she can connect via her grandmother's denture. When the girl is admitted to a psychiatric hospital, she meets the self declared soulthief Il-Sun (Korean Popstar Rain) kennen. Right in the middle of all the crazyness a tender romance is starting to blossom, which is threatend by the fact that Young-Goon is probably going to die if she keeps on rejecting food...

Young-Goon ist überzeugt, ein Cyborg zu sein. Zum Frühstück lutscht sie Batterien und verpasst sich auch mal selbst einen Stromstoß. Lampen, Automaten und andere elektrische Geräte sind ihre bevorzugten Gesprächspartner, mit denen sie durch das Gebiss ihrer Großmutter Kontakt aufnehmen kann. Als das Mädchen in eine Nervenklinik eingewiesen wird, lernt sie dort den selbsterklärten Seelendieb Il-Sun (die koreanische Pop-Ikone Rain) kennen. Mitten im irren Umfeld beginnt eine zarte Romanze zu blühen, die jedoch von der schrecklichen Tatsache bedroht wird, dass Young-goon sterben muss, sollte sie weiterhin die Nahrungsaufnahme verweigern …

You have to be either very cruel or very curious to cut open a sweet little teddy bear, rip out his guts and turn it inside out. Well, the results don't all look as bad as it sounds. The bears who get this little treatment by Kent Rogowski are kind of creepy, sometimes cute and mostly a little disturbing. Especially those with the squeak device: it looks like they get some kind of medical treatment. Nevertheless, they seem to have more personality now, what do you think?
According to the artist, kids find it less spooky than grown ups. Sweet little innocent creatures.

Man muss entweder sehr brutal oder sehr neugierig sein um einen süßen, kleinen Teddybären aufzuschlitzen, ihm die Eingeweide rauzureißen und dann sein Innerstes nach außen zu kehren. Nun, das Ergebnis sieht weniger schlimm aus, als es sich anhört. Die Bären, die diese kleine Behandlung von Kent Rogowski bekommen, sehen etwas unheimlich aus, manchmal aber auch süß und immer etwas verstörend. Besonders die mit dem Quietscher (ja das heißt so): sieht aus, als bekommen sie irgendeine Art medizinischer Behandlung. Trotzdem scheinen die Bären jetzt etwas mehr Persönlichkeit zu haben, oder was meint ihr? 
Laut dem Künstler finden Kinder übrigens die Bären weniger gruselig als Erwachsene. Die süßen, unschuldigen Kreaturen.

Kate Moss + James Brown = &hearts

I have to admit that I am not Kate's biggest fan. I am not saying she is not pretty and all that - of course she is. Maybe I am just yearning for somebody else to hit all the frontpages. My friend Sarah though seems to have a crush on her. That is also a reason for this post...
Together with Stylist James Brown Kate Moss has developed a new line of haircare products. The ingredients — such as murumuru butter (???), nettle, watercress, white tea and wheat germ — are combined with unique fragrances: bluebell (Kate’s favourite), rose, fern, amber and cedarwood. Sounds good, doesn't it? See here the behind the scenes video.

Ich muss zugeben, dass ich den Rummel um Kate nicht so ganz verstehe. Ich sage nicht, dass sie nicht hübsch ist -natürlich ist sie das. Vielleicht brauche ich einfach nur mal Abwechslung. Meine Freundin Sarah allerdings steht total auf sie. Das ist auch einer der Gründe für diesen Post.
Zusammen mit dem Stylisten James Brown hat Kate Moss eine Linie für Haarpflegeprodukte entwickelt. Die Zutaten - wie zum Beispiel Murumuru Butter (????), Nessel, Wasserkresse, weisser Tee und Weizenkeim - werden kombiniert mit verschiedenen Düften: Hasenglöckchen (Kate's Lieblingsduft... schon mal gehört? Ich auch nicht.), Farn, Rose, Amber oder Zedernholz. Klingt gut, oder? Und jetzt schon mal das 'behind the scenes' video...

StilInBerlin just posted some pictures about this aerobic rave on the streets in Berlin. The 80s do not seem to be exhausted. Of course we saw it all coming since American Appaerel is such a hype... We had the leggins and the big shirts (just to mention a few things) for some time now, but I think there is still more to come - like neon and all other flashy colours.
You probably heard it - New Rave. Maybe Rave is more a nineties thing, but New Rave when it comes to the fashion is
definitely inspired by the 80s.
